We are looking for an experienced Digital Designer to work for a 12 month contract to start asap!

Although Leeds based, this can be a remote/hybrid position, and as a Digital Design Lead, you’ll be joining an expanding, friendly team responsible for shaping and leading creative projects and standards across their award-winning Digital Education Service.

With a great eye for detail and a real passion for design, you’ll work collaboratively across major projects and campaigns, ensuring the messages reach the intended audience in the right way

Job Description:

This role will be both hands-on creative design, and as one of two Design Leads, you’ll provide guidance and direction of work to the more junior team members.

As an experienced, digitally focused creative design specialist you will lead on the design aspects of high-profile internal cross-department and external projects. Working with the Digital Education Service, subject matter experts and external stakeholders, you will lead a team of creative professionals to design and develop high quality professional and innovative brands and design concepts.

Design projects will include online courses for external platforms, internal blended learning modules and distance learning courses. All content and courses will be developed in line with the vision and ethos of the Digital Learning and Blended Learning strategies

What we’re looking for:

You will be a dynamic individual with proven experience in digital creative design accompanied by excellent communication and organisational skills. You will be able to evidence experience of defining brand and visual identity, as well as designing web-based content and promotional material.

As a Digital Design Lead you will have a proven experience of leading creative design projects;
Experience of being the key contact for design considerations when working with stakeholders;
A strong portfolio, an eye for detail, and a deep understanding of the principles of good design, colour and typography.
A comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of creative design software packages (Adobe Creative Suite - Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign);
A creative approach to problem solving, using initiative and collaborating with others to resolve issues;
A proven understanding of web asset optimisation and experience developing graphics suitable for all form factors, mobile devices, resolutions and platforms;
Excellent communication skills in order to interpret and negotiate briefs with course designers, managers and external stakeholders;
Experience of working with a range of internal and external stakeholders and experience providing services/support/teaching in creative design.
Experience in working with Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects;
A relevant professional qualification in creative design or substantial relevant experience;
