They have a rare opportunity for a Senior Designer who can deliver high quality creative solutions to join their friendly team in York.
With a strategic approach, you’ll design original and innovative design solutions that are engaging and effective and meet clients expectations, objectives and creative brief specifications.
Taking creative design briefs from clients and senior team members, you’ll develop brand and packaging design for existing and new products, re-brands, and product launches into the market and ‘on-shelf’.
As the senior designer you’ll mentor and train the more junior designers in the team and manage the freelancers and production team, briefing illustrators, lettering artists and general suppliers along with art directing photo-shoots
Assist in the budgeting and assessing of the most appropriate third party partners and suppliers
You’ll present ideas, research and trends during creative meetings with both internal teams and external clients and construct clear and convincing presentations for internal and client purposes
What we’re looking for:
We want someone who can really own projects from the start and come up with strategic concepts to support the Creative Director.
You’ll come from an agency background, be at an already senior level and have the gravitas to present and pitch to clients.
Your portfolio will be a mix of brand, packaging and POS, so we’d expect you to have worked on a number of FMCG brands either in an agency or in-house for a retailer.
You have a proven track record and experience in a design/branding agency and have successfully worked with clients from concept through to creative execution across packaging ranges. You will also have experience in creating brand extensions and new variants for existing brand ranges and designs.
You’ll be used to a fast paced studio environment, be super organised, have meticulous attention to detail and the ability to collaborate with the wider team. You’ll be used to working within budget requirements delivering on time within tight deadlines.
• Fluent in the use of relevant design software for your projects (Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, Keynote, PowerPoint etc)
• Sound technical knowledge across, print production processes and materials
• Excellent time and project management, communication and teamworking skills
• A good understanding of brand guidelines and how to implement and also develop them
Although currently working remotely, the agency will be working on-site in their York office once the current restrictions are lifted. So, you’ll either live locally or have your own transport. The offices are situated about a 20 minute walk from York train station.
