This successful family business has been established for almost 100 years and are specialist in their sector. With expansion and growth into the International market, they need an extra pair of hands in the Design team! This has opened up an opportunity for a Senior Packaging Artworker to join them for a 12 month contract.
You'll be responsible for the creation of packaging artwork and co-ordination of repro to ensure designs go to print on time and on budget.
Supporting the other Artworker and Designer, you'll follow brand guidelines and internal processes, checking files for accuracy of content, colour separations and technical printability.
You'll check colour of repro proofs and swatches ensuring first print run is colour correct. Attending meetings, you'll provide technical guidelines as required to retail teams.
You'll be the key contact for third parties on own label packaging projects, managing approval of deadlines. You'll coordinate creation and supply of 3D visuals, including creation of all Brandbank images to spec.
What we're looking for:
• Solid experience in packaging artwork/repro for brands and own label
• Proven experience in in artwork origination for packaging, both from scratch, amending existing designs and creative retouching
• Good understanding of packaging print processes and the ability to check colour separations
• Understanding of colour management requirements
• Strong in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign
• Experience in creating and running Asset Management systems
We require you to be available to start ASAP for a 12 month contract. This role could possibly go permanent, however not guaranteed.
